Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport is the main air gateway of the capital of Uzbekistan. Tashkent International Airport (Tashkent South) is the main air gateway of the capital of Uzbekistan and one of the largest air hubs in Central Asia. Its passenger traffic is more than 2 million people per year. The airport is located in the city of Tashkent itself at a distance of 12 km from the central part.
The airport terminal is equipped with two runways with concrete and asphalt surface. It accepts all types of modern passenger airplanes. Tashkent Airport serves more than 25 airlines from far and near abroad.
There are two terminals for passengers on the territory of the airport terminal:
- Tashkent-2. It works for international flights.
- Tashkent-3. Serves local airlines.
