If you decide to explore Saint-Tropez closely, you should pay attention to its famous port, the small Old Town, the beaches, the XVII century fortress, located a little away from the seafront (it is from the fortress that you can get a delightful view of Saint-Tropez) and several art museums (not very famous, however).
In Saint-Tropez you should definitely:
- sit in the famous bistros on the quays Le Gorille and Le Senequiere, watching the yachts and their passengers;
- admire the magnificent sunset over the bay of Saint-Tropez;
- sip a pink or white wine from Provence, Chateau Minuty, one of the best wines for summer.
A walk along the Sufran and Jean Jaurès promenades should definitely be added to your Saint-Tropez walking itinerary. If you have the energy left, you should go to the Mole Jean Reveille, which turns into the Mole d'Estienne d'Orve.
St. Tropez walks are popular, ending at the promenade of Geprath, which looks out to sea, and the promenade of St. Tropez, where scenes of the legendary gendarme Cruchot were filmed.
