Intercity Transport
Georgian minibuses are called "samarshruto", you can get on them near the city station or the market. The destination is indicated on the windshield (more often in Georgian), so it makes sense to ask the drivers to put you in the right car. The minibus leaves when all the seats are full, so it is better to travel in the morning - in the evening there is a risk of waiting for other passengers for a long time, or not leaving at all.
Buses run according to the schedule, mainly from 8:00 to 18:00. The fare in them is somewhat lower than in fixed-route taxis.
From the capital to the cities of Georgia can be reached in the following periods of time:
Ozurgeti – 10 hours
Kutaisi – 6 hours
Zugdidi – 8.5 hours
Burn - 1 hour
Poti — 5.5 hours
City transport
All types of transport run regularly on the streets, the fare is 0.4-0.5 GEL.
There are many taxis in Georgia, both official and private. You need to agree on payment with the driver in advance, since the counter is rare here.
