How to Get to the Center of Nuremberg

Public Transportation

The journey to the city center takes about 15 minutes.

  • Route. The U2 subway line and buses connect the airport directly to the central train station, Hauptbahnhof. The central train station is located near the historic city center.

  • Cost. Tickets for the subway/bus can be purchased at special ticket machines. The price of a ticket for any mode of public transportation is 2.75 EUR, and 1.40 EUR for children (6-14 years old). The ticket is valid for 90 minutes.

Subway

Bus

The bus stop is located in front of the Terminal on level 1.

  • Route. Buses number 30 and 33 operate from the airport to the train station, Hauptbahnhof.

Car Rental

You can rent a car at the airport. Rental counters are located in the arrival hall of the terminal. Among them are Europcar, Sixt, Hertz, and Avis.

Taxi

Taxi stands are located opposite the Terminal exit. Taxis at Nuremberg Airport are available 24/7.

Getting to Nuremberg Train Station and Bus Terminal

Train Station

The U2 metro line, as well as buses number 30 and 33, connect the airport to the central train station, Hauptbahnhof.

Central Bus Terminal

  • Route. Using the U2 metro line, you need to travel to the Nürnberg Hohe Marter stop, where you will transfer to bus number 63. The relevant stop is Nürnberg Stein Schloss.

  • Duration. The journey to the bus terminal will take approximately 23 minutes.
