The Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar is located 13 kilometers from the city. It is quite a comfortable airport serving more than 7 million tourists a year.
How to get to the city center
From the airport, you can get to the city by public transportation, cab, shuttle or rent a car. It will take you no more than 20 minutes by car.
Public transportation
To save money, you can take the bus. You can find out more about this mode of transportation below.
Bus
A SARBAGITA bus will take you from the airport. This transportation is quite comfortable and air-conditioned. The transportation goes to the bus station.
Where to find: the bus stop is located near the terminal exit.
Trip time: 30 minutes.
Schedule: from 05:00 to 21:00 every 15 minutes.
Fare:0,45 EUR.
Transfer
If you don't want to jostle in a jam-packed public transportation, you can book a transfer. You will be met at the airport with a nameplate.
Where to book: We recommend the transfer service kiwitaxi.com.
Cost: from 20 EUR for economy car.
Taxi
Local cab drivers will be waiting for you at the airport, but don't trust them: if you agree on one price, you may end up paying a different price on arrival.
You're better off going to a Prepaid Taxi counter. This is an official cab service you can trust. Alternatively, there is Blue Bird, a metered cab service at the airport, but be prepared for a high cost as there is often traffic on the island.
Cost: from 13 EUR.
Rent a car
If you plan to get to know the island better, rent a car. You can rent a car at the airport and online, for example at avtoprokat.ru.
Cost: from 25 EUR per day.
