To understand where Denpasar is, you don't need to spend a long time looking at a map. It is enough to find the island of Bali, in the heart of which this picturesque exotic resort is located. Denpasar was founded quite a long time ago, but it became the capital of Bali only in 1958. In translation from Balinese the name of the city means "east of the market". The main local market "Pasar Budung" is the biggest and largest on the whole island. Every day you can see a huge crowd of Indian, Arab and Chinese tourists in this place, so it is also called the main treasure trove of Asia.
The city that today breathes tourism, is made for tourism and awaits tourists all year round was not always like this. Its heyday was in 1992 when Denpasar bloomed like a large and lush flower and became a self-governing municipal center.
