Bormio has 43 modern ski lifts. The resort was completely re-equipped in 2005 before the Alpine World Ski Championships were held here. Since then, Bormio has gradually developed and improved. There are now 25 rope tow elevators, 14 chairlifts, 3 small cabin elevators and 1 large cabin elevator in Bormio. Most of them can be reached easily by foot, directly from the town.
The prices of ski lifts differ depending on the season and the class of the ski pass you bought. During the high season the cost of ski lifts in Bormio increases significantly. A six-day Alta Valtellina ski pass allows you to ski in Switzerland. There is a ski-bus system between the resorts.
