Beach Vacation
How to have a beach vacation with children in Naples? The answer is quite obvious — go to the sea and enjoy swimming. What else can you do on the Mediterranean coast? However, since the Gulf of Naples within the city limits is quite polluted, it is recommended to head to the island of Capri, the resort towns of Sorrento and Salerno, or the villages of Amalfi and Positano. There is regular transportation available to these destinations.
Zoo
After leaving the sea shore, head to the local zoo to see lemurs, monkeys, and alligators. Entrance tickets: adults — 15 EUR, children aged 4–10 — 10 EUR, children under 3 and seniors — free.
Natural Science Museum
The Center of Natural and Physical Science Museums in Naples will delight everyone interested in dinosaurs, mammoths, ancient shells, mummies, and other relics. Entrance ticket for adults — 2.50 EUR, reduced rate (youth) — 1.50 EUR. Combined tickets for several museums are available starting from 3.50 EUR.
Amusement park
If you can't see the sights anymore, take the whole family to an amusement park Mirabilandia (combines regular and water rides, as well as a house of horrors, where local youth like to tickle their nerves).
Other entertainment
Other activities for children in Naples include:
- Acquario di Napoli, the oldest aquarium in Italy,
- Gaiola Underwater Park (near Cape Posilippo you can see the sunken ancient Roman ruins)
- Lo Zoo di Napoli.
