If you're concerned about the heat on the bus, you can take the train and enjoy the views of Taormina in just 40 minutes. A regional train ride from Catania Centrale to Taormina-Giardini costs 4.90 EUR.
Those who prefer a more comfortable journey can rent a car directly at Catania Airport or take a taxi. The fare is around 90–100 EUR, depending on the time of day and the provider.
