Ski resorts in Lithuania can hardly be called mountainous. There are no mountains here, unless you count hills barely 300 meters high. Lithuania is not a skiing country, that's true. But there is a lot of snowfall here every year, which lasts long enough. The pure snowy winters of Lithuania have led to the creation of several ski resorts.
First of all it is Ignalina. Every year enough snow falls here for skiing and snowboarding, and it stays in a perfect layer throughout the season. The gentle hills of Ignalina are suitable for beginners and lovers of quiet skiing.
Ski tours to Lithuania in recent years include Klaipeda. The slopes are located 15 km from the city. All slopes are served by two modern elevators, which will take you to the top of the slopes in no time. As in other Lithuanian ski resorts, there is excellent evening lighting.

Not only skiing and snowboarding, but also sanatoriums with recovery programs are here. Famous for its hotels with mineral baths, Birštonas also has small ski slopes.
Skiing vacations in Lithuania are possible and for those who decide to celebrate New Year or Christmas in Vilnius, we can recommend Liepkalnis Hill. It is home to the largest winter recreation center, VSSC, or Vilnius Ski Center (Minsk Highway 2).
The largest center of ski recreation in Lithuania is the resort of Anikščiai in the north-east of the country. There are only 2 elevators and five or six slopes on the slope of Kalita hill. The biggest height difference of the resort is 40 meters. Nevertheless, for a flat country even such modest slopes can be considered as ski slopes.
There is a ski resort near Druskininkai. It is SNORAS Snow Arena, an indoor ski hall, and it has one of the longest indoor ski slopes in the world.
