Conditionally we can divide all Penang's catering offers into three large groups. The first group is represented by fashionable restaurants, usually at luxury hotel complexes, which have a long tradition and a great variety of menus.

Prices at cafes and food courts are even more attractive. Pepper chicken will cost you MYR 7.5, rice with spices and vegetables will cost MYR 3. A cup of tea costs MYR 1.5, a glass of juice costs MYR 3-4. A plate of fried rice with seafood will cost 6 MYR. The cost of food varies between Georgetown and the beach villages. In the beach areas in the north of Penang, food will be a little more expensive, although you should have no trouble finding a budget meal.
