Two beautiful ladies from the world of cinema — Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet — played in this romantic Christmas comedy strangers who dare to exchange houses for the winter vacation. Amanda's House (Cameron Diaz): although the interiors of this luxurious mansion were filmed at Sony Studios, the quite recognizable exterior can still be seen with your own eyes. Iris's Village and Mansion (Kate Winslet): Iris's idyllic British village life was filmed in the small model British village of Shire, once named the most photographed place in Surrey. It was on an unoccupied picturesque piece of land Shire was built for filming a temporary frame of a tiny house heroine Winslet, whose interiors were also recreated in the studio pavilion. But the Godalming supermarket, where Diaz's character does her Christmas shopping, is about 8 miles away from the village.
The Miles House (Jack Black): this not at all simple building with a history was designed by Richard Neutra, a prominent architect of his time. Christmas used to be the favorite holiday in the Pierce family, but after the death of his father, the family celebration is no longer a source of joy.
