Summer is the perfect time to vacation with children in Monaco. You can plan a day to soak up the sun and swim in the warm sea, play in any of the well-equipped playgrounds and learn something new in one of the Principality's museums.
If you're visiting Monaco on a vacation package and staying at a hotel, find out if there are kids' clubs. For example, the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort has a children's club throughout the summer, with interesting recreation programs for kids and older kids (up to 12 years old).
One of the best activities for children in Monaco will be a trip to the zoo, which is located in the Fonvieille district on the Grimaldi Rock. The territory of the zoo is small, but live here 250 animals of 50 species. You can get here at any time of the year, the zoo is open all year round.
In the summer, be sure to take the kids to the Exotic Garden. Located on a steep mountainside, its terraces offer beautiful views of the Princely Palace and the Côte d'Azur. There are more than 8.5 thousand varieties of plants from Africa, Asia, and America, as well as many cacti.
In the Exotic Garden, you can enter a marvelous fairytale world in the karst cave "Observatory", where stalactites and stalagmites form bizarre figures.
If you come to Monaco in October, be sure to visit with the kids Monaco Chocolate Salon. This celebration of the most favorite treat of children and adults takes place in Monaco every year and gathers thousands of fans. During the event, there are various performances, master classes by famous confectioners and, of course, tastings of chocolate and desserts.
A 10-minute drive from the Principality is Monaco's most famous amusement park for children, Coaland. Come here with your kids for the day, as there are so many attractions to enjoy.
