Public transportation in Monaco is represented by buses - classic and water buses. As the Principality is small, there are only six public transportation routes in Monaco.
The buses running from Monaco-Ville to the casino (5 minutes) and from the train station to the beaches of L'Arvotto (10 minutes) have short intervals. Other transportation in Monaco will take an average of half an hour.
Transportation prices in Monaco depend on how long you use the ticket. A single ticket costs 1.50 EUR (or 2 EUR if you buy it from the driver), a 1-day pass with unlimited rides costs 5 EUR (valid both on buses and by boat) and a 2-day pass costs 8 EUR.
Transportation in Monaco runs until 00:20, and on Friday and Saturday there are additional buses that run until 04:00. The water bus runs every day from 08:00 to 19:50, but only in good weather.
