Water Temperature

The bathing season in Riccione starts in May, although a water temperature of +18°C in May may not be convincing for everyone. However, by June, the water warms up to around +21°C, and in July-August, the water temperature in the Adriatic Sea reaches +25°C. During this time, the beaches of Riccione are filled with thousands of tourists.

The water salinity is high, up to 38%, and it's 25 metres clear.

Swimming near large rocks can lead to stepping on a sea urchin, so special slippers are a good idea.

The warm waves of the Adriatic Sea are calm and gentle and the tides are low.
