Pržno offers two primary beaches, or more precisely, one main beach called Pržno plaža, which is approximately 350 meters long and divided into two sections:
The first part is the town beach, featuring a sandy surface that often graces the covers of Pržno promotional materials. It exudes coziness and is surrounded by an olive grove. Moreover, this beach benefits from protection against winds due to several stone reefs, resulting in small waves. This natural barrier also contributes to Pržno being often hailed as an ideal destination for family vacations. Interestingly, one of these reefs holds the remnants of an old Yugoslav fortification.
The second part of the beach is adjacent to the Maestral Resort & Casino. Situated within a small sandy cove surrounded by low cliffs, this beach offers amenities such as changing rooms, showers, and a parking lot. While entrance to the beach is typically free, during peak season, the hotel reserves the right to limit access to unauthorized visitors. If you're undecided about which Pržno beach to visit, consider these options:
- Head to the public beach Kamenovo plaža in Kamenovo. This expansive sandy beach spans approximately 700 meters and features bright turquoise waters. It's conveniently located near the highway and offers free access, sunbeds, umbrellas, and several cafes and restaurants.
- Explore Kraljeva plaža (Kraljeva plaža). Keep in mind that there's usually an entrance fee of around 75 EUR. Additionally, a government residence nearby may restrict access for ordinary visitors, making it a less accessible choice.
- Consider the beaches near the isthmus between the island of Sveti Stefan and the coastline. Here, you'll find calm waters and red sand.
