Where is Przno located?
Przno is a tiny (about 4 square kilometers) resort village between Budva and Bar. The village has a post office and a medical center, grocery stores and a few boutiques. If you want, you can go "to the big land" at any time - to Budva (about 5 kilometers from Przno) in the tourist season every half an hour shuttle buses leave every half hour.
The population of Przno is no more than 900 people. Almost all of them work in local hotels and restaurants.
The national currency is the euro (EUR).
History of the City of Przno
Most recently, Przno was a simple fishing village - today, the rebuilt fishermen's huts are home to tourists from all over the world. Przno has lost almost none of its authenticity, unlike, say, in neighboring Sveti Stefan. There, the old fishermen's houses were simply demolished and replaced by comfortable but rather impersonal villas for tourists.
When Przno was founded, it is difficult to say - historians say that the first Phoenician settlements appeared here in the 5th century BC. Later on the territory of modern Przno was ruled by Greeks and Romans, Venetians and Austrians (until 2006, when Montenegro became independent). Pržo became a resort area in the XIX century, when the Yugoslav royal family established their "vacation" residence here.
