The customs in Poland are very strict and attentive. To ensure that your trip to this country doesn't start with any unpleasantness, familiarize yourself with the basic rules:
- Entry of cash into the country is allowed up to a maximum of 100 EUR. Amounts exceeding this limit must be declared.
- If you arrive in Poland by plane, there is a specific list of items that you can bring. It includes up to 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 100 cigarillos, up to 250 grams of tobacco, 1 liter of strong spirits, 1 liter of wine, 5 liters of beer, 250 ml of eau de toilette, and 50 ml of perfume.
- The limit for personal-use goods is 90 EUR for children and 175 EUR for adults.
- The list of how much alcohol you can import to Poland and export from the country slightly differs. If you arrive in Poland from EU countries, you can bring into the country duty-free: 10 liters of strong alcohol, 20 liters of wine, 90 liters of fortified wine, and up to 110 liters of beer.
- Tourists crossing Poland in their own vehicles are not allowed to transport more than 1 liter of strong alcohol, 2 liters of wine, 4 liters of fortified wine, and up to 16 liters of beer without prior declaration.
