Carvoeiro hosts a number of themed events and festivals throughout the year, which with their distinctiveness can interest many travelers.
Feiras e Exposições, a week of Portuguese cooking, is celebrated in June in the neighboring town of Lagoa. It's a time of fairs, arts and crafts exhibitions and all sorts of fun for the whole family.
Also in June, Carvoeiro hosts the Algarve International Fair, where you can buy everything for the home and garden. The event is accompanied by entertainment for children, live music and fashion shows.
The culinary Snail Festival takes place in July and in August the FATACIL Craft, Tourism, Trade and Agriculture Fair. The festival is traditionally accompanied by entertainment, fun, live music and delicious food.
The Festa da Nossa Senhora da Encarnação is also held in Carvoeiro on the last Sunday of August.
Nightlife in Carvoeiro
Carvoeiro's nightlife is packed with entertaining cocktails, danceable live music and discos. The resort town comes alive at night. Bars and cafes with Portuguese music are very popular. There are also plenty of night restaurants with a relaxing atmosphere to suit all tastes and tastes.
The local bar Havana, which offers original cocktails, can be categorized as a nightclub in Carvoeiro, with the caveat that it's not a club, but rather a colorful and memorable pub. Many tourists, after one night in "Havana" return here as regular customers. The pub is run by immigrants from Ireland. You can pay for drinks here not immediately, but open an account. Those who taste amazingly tasty cocktails for 100 EUR are allowed to sign one of the walls of the pub.
