You can ski in the Sierra Nevada from mid-December until April. It is not too cold here - the temperature on the slopes ranges from 0 to +5°C. But almost three hundred snow cannons successfully provide the necessary snow cover for skiing.

Sierra Nevada has 45 ski slopes of different levels of difficulty. The total length of slopes is 87 kilometers. Of them 11 "green", 35 "blue", 36 "red" and 5 "black", there are lighted. There are six skiing zones: Veleta, Laguna De Las Yeguas, Borreguiles, Lomar Dilar, Rio Monachil and Parador.

The longest piste in the Sierra Nevada is El Aguila. The length of the ski run is 5.9 kilometers. El Aguila is considered the best among the ski slopes in Spain.
