The small village of Zermatt was established in the fifteenth century when the first settlers made this area their home. Over the centuries, this quaint village has transformed into a modern resort that is now widely recognized. Zermatt is situated in the southern part of the Valais canton, close to the border between Switzerland and Italy. It occupies a remarkable position nestled amidst the towering peaks of the Pennine Alps, including the renowned four-thousanders like Dufour, Matterhorn, and Monte Rosa.
