English-Thai phrasebook for tourists

Phrases that will surely come in handy when traveling to Thailand.

The national language in Thailand is Thai. But there are several dialects in the country according to the number of regions of the country. There are dialects of the northern provinces, northeastern provinces, central provinces and southern provinces. However, there is little difference between the dialects, so a single English-Thai phrasebook can be used in each province.

Of course, you can get by without a Thai phrasebook if you're vacationing in major cities - most of the staff there can explain themselves in English. Not only that, but sometimes they can understand Russian. But this happens only in large popular resorts. If you plan to travel to provinces far from the capital, it's best to have a Thai phrasebook with pronunciation.

These are not all the useful phrases in the Thai language, but they will help you feel more confident in an unfamiliar country. Note that after colons in the pronunciation column, you should lengthen the sound. The "ครับ" and "ค่ะ" at the end of sentences in the Thai column are polite particles used for addressing people.
