The map of Jumeirah shows the chicest hotels, stunning beaches, incredible skyscrapers and the main tourist shopping destinations.
As Jumeirah itself is an urban area of Dubai, one might assume that there is no internal division. However, this is not entirely true: Jumeirah has subordinate districts, designated by numbers (there are three in total). The area in the center of Jumeirah is called Jumeirah-2.
Where to stay in Jumeirah? If you prefer to live by the water, choose the coastal areas, where the world-famous Jumeirah Beach and Burj Al Arab hotels are located. And if you like urban development, settle down in one of the skyscraper hotels on the border of the western part of the district, in "Dubai Marina" or "Lake Towers". And if you've always dreamed of living on an island, Jumeirah has a man-made island of Palma with Atlantis and Rixos hotels in front of its shores.
Dangerous areas of Jumeirah? There aren't any. This is an elite place. It's hard to believe that 35 years ago, only beggar fishermen and small shopkeepers lived here - now Jumeirah is among the most prestigious areas of Dubai, where it is better to live. Here and luxury hotels with villas, and developed infrastructure, and huge supermarkets, and gorgeous beaches!
