In Ukraine, there are two main types of division of the country into regions. The names of Ukraine's regions include the 27 oblasts officially approved by the Constitution. However, tourists are probably more interested in the historical division of the country. This division is relatively conventional, and it is convenient for better understanding of cultural heritage.
Bratlavshchyna and Kievshchyna in Right-Bank Ukraine, and Poltavshchyna in Left-Bank Ukraine can be referred to the central regions of Ukraine.
The Black Sea and Priazovye are located in the south of the country. The southern regions of Ukraine are definitely the cities and resorts to visit in the summer. Skadovsk, Izmail, Kilia, Vilkovo, Belgorod-Dnestrovsky, Chernomorsk and, of course, Odessa are waiting for guests all year round. In Berdyansk you can relax and swim, it is also a mud resort, although guests prefer to rest in the villages of Berdyansk Spit. The port city itself has not bad city beaches, but still not too suitable for summer vacation.
Polesye (Shatsk) and Volyn (Lutsk) can be referred to the northern regions of Ukraine.
Cities in the western regions of Ukraine are becoming real tourist meccas. These are Zakarpattya with its Uzhgorod and Galichina (Lviv, Ternopil, Truskavets).
The Carpathians can be singled out as a separate tourist region, with Gutsulschina, Lemkivschina and Boykivschina.
