Dallas Area Rapid Transit
Downtown Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is in charge. It operates rail and bus routes around the city, and is also one of the first to run a rapid streetcar in the southeastern United States.
Today, streetcar transportation in Dallas runs on two branches. A blue branch stretches from the southern part of the city through downtown toward the suburb of Garland. The other branch also runs from the south side through downtown, but toward the suburbs of Plano and Richardson.
The least rapid public transportation in Dallas is buses. They too run throughout the city and can be used to get to any part of the city. Buses and streetcars start running from 05:00 and end their routes at 00:00. Controllers usually check tickets during peak hours. You can buy tickets at special kiosks at bus stops.
Fare
Prices for transportation in Dallas are relatively moderate - 1.75 USD one trip. But a tip for tourists is to buy a 4 USD day pass for transportation in Dallas, which will save you a lot of money on travel costs in the city.
