Transport: tourist tips
To save on fares, you can buy a monthly pass. However, for visitors, day passes for one, three, or seven days (15, 35, and 47 USD) are usually more convenient. They can be purchased at Muni Ticket Sales located at the corners of Market and Powell Streets, and Hyde and Beach.
It’s also worth getting a CityPASS card. It grants free admission to the aquarium, the Academy of Sciences, a bay cruise, and other attractions. It also allows unlimited free rides on San Francisco’s Muni transport system. You can check the current price of the card and included attractions here.
