Safety in San Francisco

So you shouldn't walk alone in the evening and at night, especially on Potrero Hill, Bayview-Hunters Point, Visitacion Valley, Sunnydale. Although sometimes the Tenderloin, Ingleside, Western Addition can be dangerous.

In addition, you should ignore the homeless and beggars, of which there are many in San Francisco, especially in Haight-Ashbury, near Golden Gate Park, in the Tenderloin, and on the streets from Market to the Civic Center.

You should also keep a close eye on your belongings. Pickpocketing (especially at Fisherman's Wharf) and car break-ins are not uncommon.
