National Children’s Museum
Many Washington museums hold national status, and the National Children’s Museum is no exception. Despite its grand name, it is arguably the best entertainment option for kids in Washington. Young visitors will not be bored here: they can participate in television and radio studio activities, work in a laboratory, and enjoy playing with soap bubbles.
The museum regularly hosts children’s educational programs, and animators work there every day. Admission to this “land of childhood happiness” is 18.95 USD; children under 1 year enter for free. Address: 800 3rd Street, NE.
Six Flags Park
Washington does not have a theme park similar to Disneyland, but you can enjoy roller coasters at Six Flags, located just 20 minutes from the city. A water park also operates here during the summer.
Parking costs about 15 USD. Address: 13710 Central Avenue.
