The picturesque beaches of Paphos stretch all along the Mediterranean coast, offering secluded coves protected from the wind and waves, and wide sandy strips with well-developed infrastructure for fans of colorful water activities.
1. Coral Bay
The most popular beach of the region, located just 12 km from the center of Paphos. The waters in the bay are calm and warm, and the entrance is gentle, allowing little ones to safely frolic in the shallows. Coral Bay also has water sports equipment for hire, a disco, and a mini luna park.
2. Coralia Bay
The twin beach of Coral Bay, located on the other side of Horseshoe Bay. A favorable wind pattern has made the sandbar a regular destination for surfers. Coralia Bay also boasts the proximity of the famous Bird Park and an abundance of tavernas with excellent fish menus.
3. Geroskipou Beach
A sand and pebble attraction on the outskirts of Paphos. There are showers, toilets, changing booths, beach restaurants, sun loungers, and hammocks for rent. Geroskipou is known primarily for its sporting component, with tennis courts within walking distance and soccer and volleyball pitches right on the beach.
4. Pahyamos Beach
A narrow sandy strip between mossy cliffs. Among the advantages of this recreation area - easy access by motorcycle, bus, car, abundance of services in the beach season (from June 1 to October 15 - rent of deck chairs, umbrellas - 3-5 EUR, equipment for water games - up to 15 EUR). The water quality is regularly checked and the shore is cleaned. Lifeguards are on duty at Pahiamos from 11:00 to 17:30.
5. Lara Beach
A unique protected corner of the Akamas Peninsula where turtles have been laying eggs for centuries. If you're lucky, you might see Lara's old-timers - 150-year-old green turtles. Here is soft pearl sand, devoid of any vegetation, slightly rippling turquoise sea and deep southern sky ... It is forbidden to put loungers and deck chairs on the long strip, in the laying season there are special frames protecting the little turtles from trampling. It's very quiet and peaceful.
Every traveler will find a spot to their liking in Paphos, whether it's St George's Beach with its "heroic past" and "sunny present" with a focus on children's entertainment, Faros Beach for families with children in Paphos, or the romantic Aphrodite's Cove.
