The eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea, the so-called Cyprus Sea, is the warmest and saltiest in the region. In winter the water temperature in the Mediterranean Sea near Paphos does not fall below +14-15°C, and in summer it warms up to +25-27°C.
Pafos is located in a cozy bay under the protection of verdant mountains, the tides are not significant, but some (mostly wild) beaches can offer excellent conditions for windsurfers: the tides in the Mediterranean Sea exceed the average level of 0.2-0.3 meters along the coast, and the waves rise in the Mediterranean Sea.
Red flag on the beach in the resort area is a rarity. Entrance to the water - gentle, excitement is virtually eliminated due to the competently organized system of breakwaters, jellyfish do not approach the shore.
