The coast of Lower Normandy has a temperate maritime climate. The mild winter with a rather long rainy season, which begins in Honfleur in the second half of October, is followed by a warm spring and a mild summer. Note that even when the rainy season begins in the city, the flow of tourists and vacationers in the city is not reduced. Honfleur is attractive at any time of year.
Honfleur's flora and fauna.
The French call the area in which Honfleur is located the Flower Coast. It is the most beautiful part of Normandy, with a typical Normandy climate and flora. Pine trees, sand dunes, forests and emerald meadows inspire artists, composers and poets.
For example, singer Chris Rea, who is very popular in France, often comes here and many of his ballads are inspired by Deauville, Honfleur and the surrounding towns.
