Public transportation in Joan-les-Pins

The cheapest way to get around in Joan-les-Pins is by public transportation. Find out all about the city's transport links and ticket prices.

Public transportation

The most popular mode of transportation on the Côte d'Azur, and Joan-les-Pins is no exception, is the car. But if you prefer public transportation, getting anywhere on the coast is easy. However, in the case of Joan-les-Pins, the final stop is not the resort itself, but Antibes (the former is considered one of the quarters of the latter).

The undeniable advantage of public transportation on the Côte d'Azur is the lack of schedule disruptions, as well as a busy route through almost all the coastal towns. Just be aware that buses make stops on demand (press the button on the handrail and the driver will light up "Arret demande").

If you're standing at a bus stop and see the right bus number approaching, it's best to vote. Entrance to the bus is through the front door only, and there are two composters there, through which you must be sure to pass your ticket.

Transportation routes

If you want to walk around Nice before heading to Juan-les-Pins, you can take buses #98 (to Nice Riquier train station along the Promenade Des Anglais and past the Old Town) and #99 (to Nice Ville main train station) from the airport to the city. A ticket for these buses costs 4 EUR. It is both a day pass (Pass 1 jour) and is valid on that day until 2:00 for all means of transportation (in Nice also for the streetcar).

On the bus, you can buy a solo ticket and a day pass (Pass 1 jour) from the driver. Vending machines at bus stops sell solo, multi (for 10 journeys), Pass 1 jour and Pass 7 jour (7-day pass for 15 EUR, valid for 7 days from the first composting). Payment at the machines is made in cash up to 60 EUR or by bank card (starting from 2 EUR).

A faster option is the electric train (there is a train station near Terminal 1 at Nice Airport). You can find the train schedule here.
