The map of Juan-les-Pins can be roughly divided into three parts:
Juan-les-Pins itself — the hub of modern life with numerous bars and nightclubs;
Cap d’Antibes — home to celebrities, filled with luxurious villas, upscale hotel complexes (see the map of Juan-les-Pins with hotels), and the finest beaches;
The town of Antibes — the historic center, where every cobblestone has a story to tell about the lives of Pablo Picasso, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Nikos Kazantzakis, Graham Greene, and other famous personalities.
Although Juan-les-Pins is considered an independent tourist destination, together with the larger town of Antibes it forms a single administrative center. However, most nightlife, casinos, top hotels, and water activities are concentrated precisely in Juan-les-Pins.
Juan-les-Pins is quite compact. Cozy houses (mostly two-storey), palm-lined alleys, small stores — this is the most common picture of the downtown areas, which for budget travelers are considered the best places to live.
But step onto the Promenade du Soleil and the picture changes dramatically. Snow-white yachts, stunning seascapes, golden beaches and luxurious villas - Joan-les-Pins is in all its glory!
The heart of Joan-les-Pins and at the same time an exclusive vacation area is Cape Antibes. This relatively small plot of land, stretching 4km out to sea, is home to a record number of luxury villas, including Greek billionaire Aristotle Onassis and others. The bay is often referred to as the Bay of Billionaires (Baie des Milliardaires). This place was chosen by the powerful for a reason: it even breathes in a special way, as if the air is saturated with menthol granules. Each sip is filled with a wonderful freshness.
And celebrities who, for whatever reason, have not yet bought a luxury apartment in Joan-les-Pins stay in one of the luxury hotel complexes, such as the Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc. This neighborhood is certainly considered one of the better places to stay.
It would be unfair, however, to say that Cape Antibes is all about villas and luxury hotels. It's also home to the famous Garoup lighthouse, the chapel of Notre-Dame-de-Garoup and the 12th-century Grimaldi Castle, which now houses the Picasso Museum.
