The most popular activities in Les Arcs, apart from skiing and snowboarding, include ice skating, snowshoeing, sledding, dog sledding, hang gliding, paragliding, speed riding (skiing with a small sail), and ski joring (skiing pulled by a horse). In the Arc 2000 ski area, a new sledding track called “Rodeo Park” has been opened, designed not only for adults but also for teenagers.
In addition to snow activities, visitors can also enjoy indoor entertainment. These include cinemas (Arc 2000, 1800, and 1600), gyms, and bowling in Arc 1800. The opening of a huge wellness center in the 2011/12 season in Arc 1950 attracted an even greater flow of tourists to the mountains. It became the largest wellness center in the Alps. Only here can you swim in a pool with a view of Mont Blanc, as well as visit a fitness center, spa, sauna, hammam, and enjoy spa treatments.
As for competitions in Les Arcs, annual downhill skiing championships are held here. It is also worth mentioning the Freeride World Championship, which every year attracts not only crowds of tourists but also many professionals eager to showcase their skills.
