The distance from Nice Airport to Menton is about 30 km. You can cover it in three ways.
The most comfortable, yet also the most expensive option, is by taxi. Unofficial carriers are not allowed inside the airport grounds. Official taxis line up at the terminal exits on a first-come, first-served basis. Drivers are very polite, help with luggage, and always turn on the meter. The second option is the bus. The direct express bus No. 80 runs daily from 8:45 am to 9:15 pm (departing from platform No. 2). The ticket price is 20 EUR for adults and 12 EUR for children under 12. For the fourth and each additional suitcase, an extra 5 EUR is charged. Travel time is about an hour and a half.
If you arrive at night, take the night bus No. 100, which operates from 10:00 pm to 2:30 am. It also departs from platform No. 2.
Finally, you can reach Menton by train departing from Nice St Augustine station. It is a 15–20 minute walk from the airport or a short ride on one of the many shuttle buses. Train tickets cost 7–8 EUR. Travel time is 1–1.5 hours.
