The coastline of Saint-Malo stretches for almost 30 kilometers, but the landscaped beaches occupy only 8 of them. Huge expanses of purest ocean sand, cozy coves, sand dunes and cliffs delight the eyes of vacationers.
For a great beach vacation, we can recommend the best beaches of Saint-Malo:
- The Big Beach (La Grande Plage) is located 3 kilometers from the city walls. It is from here that you will get the most stunning view of Saint-Malo. Some sections of the Grande Plage have their own names - Le Sillon, La Huguette and Rochebon;
-just outside the city walls is the city's most popular beach, Bon Secours (Bon Secours). The beach is popular for its sailing school and huge saltwater swimming pool. Opposite this beach is the island of Grand Baie, where the famous French writer Chateaubriand is buried;
- a cozy natural bay, protected from the ocean winds and pleasant for swimming - beach Havre. This place is also called the Swiss Lake.
When thinking about which beach in Saint-Malo to choose, keep in mind that all beaches in Saint-Malo are sandy, quite small, with well-developed infrastructure. On any of them you will find everything you need for your vacation - pavilions with drinks and ice cream, sports equipment rentals, umbrellas and sun loungers.
