Trains.

The most popular and convenient form of intercity transportation. Long distances are best traveled on the TGV high-speed trains, although tickets are quite expensive. France also has TER suburban trains, Intercite interregional trains and Lunea night trains. Booking tickets in advance is recommended, especially for TGVs in high season.

City transportation.

City transportation in most French cities is buses, sometimes streetcars and suburban trains. Transportation schedules are quite convenient, with short gaps between trips

Taxi.

Taxis in France have two fares: fare "A" (0.61 EUR per km) is valid from Monday to Saturday from 7:00 to 19:00, and fare "B" (3 EUR per km) - on weekends and holidays, as well as at night. Boarding is only at a special parking lot (or order a cab by phone). Boarding a cab costs 2.5 EUR, each piece of luggage costs 1 EUR. The minimum fare is 6.10 EUR.
