The most affordable and popular type of tour in Turin is a sightseeing one. For 2–4 hours, a guide will take you around the city's most famous tourist spots (or drive you if you book a bus tour of Turin). In just one day, you'll get a general impression of the city.
During the pre-Christmas period (from November 1 to December 20), evening tours are especially popular. The average price for group sightseeing tours in Turin starts at 80 EUR, while private tours cost at least 120–140 EUR.
If time allows, head to the farms of Piedmont — to the wine regions. These tours often include visits to wine cellars, wine tastings, and the opportunity to buy a bottle or two at producer prices. A great route is from Turin to Vercelli, Alba, and Novara, then back. Expect to pay 90–100 EUR per person for a full-day tour (about 7–8 hours long).
