How to get to Turin from the airport

Learn how to get from Turin airport to the city center, to the train or bus station: modes of transport, their costs and where to buy a ticket.

The only airport in Turin (Aeroporto di Torino) annually receives 4 million people. The air station is located 16 kilometers from the city.

How to get to the city center

You can easily reach the center of Turin by train or bus, and with a taxi, transfer or rental car, you will be in the city in 20 minutes. We will discuss all of these methods below.

Bus, Turin

Public Transport

Public transport is the best way to immerse yourself in the local atmosphere right from the airport.

Bus

From the airport, you can take the Sadem bus. It will take you to the Porta Nuova and Porta Susa railway stations. It also makes stops at Borgaro Torinese and Caselle City Centre.

  • Where to find: On the right side of the exit.

  • Travel time: On average, 45 minutes.

  • Where to buy tickets: From the driver or at the ticket counter at the airport.

  • Operating hours: From 06:10 to 00:30, it runs every half an hour on weekdays. On weekends, the bus runs until 23:45. For the exact schedule, check here.

  • Fare: EUR 6.50 at the ticket counter and EUR 7.50 from the driver.

Train

By train, you can reach the Stazione Dora station.

  • Where to find: Near the airport exit.

  • Travel time: 19 minutes.

  • Where to buy tickets: At the ticket counter or kiosks at the airport.

  • Operating hours: From 05:04 to 21:03. Check the schedule here.

  • Fare: A "Integrato B" ticket costs EUR 3 and is valid for 2 hours on any mode of transport. A "Single ticket" costs EUR 2.70 and can only be used on the train. More information here.

Transfer

Taxi

Taxis are a comfortable and relatively inexpensive mode of transportation. The taxi stand is located near the terminal exit.

Cost: Approximately 30 - 40 EUR.

Getting to the Bus Station and Train Stations

In Turin, there are two train stations: Porta Nuova, the main station, and Porta Susa, the second most important station. You can reach them by bus. The first stop will be Porta Susa, and after 10 minutes, Porta Nuova. All the bus schedule information is available above.
