Where to Stay
Monte Carlo may not be the ideal destination for a family vacation with children. While most hotels in the city offer babysitting and entertainment services, and many have children's playgrounds and sports facilities on their premises, it can be a challenge to find extensive entertainment options for children in Monte Carlo.
Entertainment for Children
If you're traveling with a child in primary or secondary school, consider a visit to the Oceanographic Museum. For toddlers, the Monaco Zoo in the Fontvieille district is a great choice, where you can encounter over 250 species of fauna, including hippos, black panthers, and white tigers. Admission to the zoo costs 5 EUR for adults and 3 EUR for children.
The nearest amusement park to Monte Carlo is Marineland in Antibes. Here, you can enjoy spectacular shows featuring seals, dolphins, and killer whales. Visitors can even walk through a glass tunnel beneath a pool, explore exhibits in the Maritime Museum, and interact with penguins in a tactile pool. Marineland also boasts a water park. The cost for such a family excursion (excluding transportation to and from Monte Carlo) is 40 EUR for adults and 32 EUR for children under 12 years old.
