Barcelona's airport is called El Prat. It is the second busiest airport in Spain and the largest airport in Catalonia. Around 30 million passengers pass through it every year.
The airport is located thirteen kilometers from the city center, in the southwestern direction. The layout of Barcelona Airport includes two terminals, the second consists of three separate buildings. The distance between the terminals is four kilometers, and a free passenger shuttle runs between them. The airport shuttle is a 24-hour shuttle with a 6-7 minute cycle. Another shuttle running between the terminals and the train station runs every half hour.
