The main walking routes of Sitges run through the city center and its historic part. The most popular tourist route in Sitges begins at the Ayuntamiento square with a tour of the XIX century building of the same name, built on the site of a medieval castle. Then the route passes by the statue of Dr. Robert, the building of the Rectory, the city's historical archive, the library of Santiago Rusiñol.
