Aside from skiing, the Grindelwald resort offers a diverse range of activities including ice skating on one of two lakes, paragliding, rock climbing, mountaineering, and a plethora of other exciting experiences to enjoy.
Moreover, Grindelwald offers fun events throughout the year. For instance, every mid-January, the World Snow Festival transforms the town center with meter-high ice sculptures that remain on display until the end of the season when they eventually melt away. January is also when the Bull-Trophy international curling championship takes place. In February, snow biking enthusiasts gather for the Velogemel World Championships.
February also brings the SnowpenAir Concert to Grindelwald, an outdoor music festival that celebrates the conclusion of the winter ski season on the Kleine Scheidegg.
During the summer months, the town hosts folk festivals as well. In June, for example, there's the Landart Festival where natural materials are creatively used to craft various artistic figures and installations.
