Tourists primarily come to the resort for skiing, mostly beginners or those with minimal skiing experience. Therefore, a ski school in Uludağ is a necessity. However, there is only one major ski school that offers skiing lessons.
Although the school promises services with English-speaking instructors, it often happens that ski instructors do not speak English and can barely communicate in English. This is not uncommon for those who are familiar with summer vacations in Turkey. Some hotels have their own instructors to provide lessons for their guests.
Ski lessons for one person cost 49 USD per hour, while for two people it is 56 USD per hour. Basic skiing lessons for groups are priced at 14 USD per participant.
The school also offers snowboarding lessons. One hour of individual lessons costs 100-110 USD, while group lessons for 5-10 people are priced at 30-40 USD per person.
