Bus stations in Kyiv

Everything a tourist needs to know about Kyiv bus stations: address, contacts, how to get there and other useful information.

Flying into one of Kyiv's airports, you can easily travel around the country by bus. Today we'll tell you about Kyiv bus stations: how to buy tickets, how to get to the station, and where the best places to look for bus schedules and ticket prices are.

There are more than 20 bus stations in the capital of Ukraine, but the key ones are:

  • Central bus station.
  • Avtostation "Kiev" (popularly known as "Yama").
  • Dachnaya bus station.
  • Southern bus station (Teremki metro station).
  • Vydubychi bus station.
  • Autostation "Vydubychi".
  • The bus station "Darnitsa".

All bus stations are united by the enterprise "Kyivpasservice". The only private new station "Teremki", which opened in 2016 near the subway of the same name and was aimed at international flights, worked only a few months and was closed.

Most bus stations were built in union times, so both the buildings themselves and the carriers often look like aliens from the last century. Fortunately, this is changing, with new carriers entering the market, including Gunsel and Autolux. With the help of auto companies, you can travel around Ukraine and Europe comfortably, quickly, and inexpensively. Autolux and Gunsel buses are equipped with toilets, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and comfortable seats.
