There are no particularly dangerous areas in Svalyava. This town is quite small, the people of Transcarpathia are known for their friendliness. Of course, in any resort town there can be troubles related to inadequate tourists. Most cafes and restaurants, hotels have their own guards. Mountains require their own caution. Try not to go far without a guide.
There are enough well-worn paths, which you can walk around the city, but in the depths of the mountains it is better not to go. In any case, in the Carpathians there are always rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations who are ready to help people lost in the mountains. There are three main resort centers around the resort - Golubinoe, Solochyn and Polyana.
The resort infrastructure is best developed in Polyana, where the safety indicators are higher. In Golubinoe and Solochin the private sector is more active, but there are fewer opportunities to find security if something happens. On the other hand, people here are friendly, often leave their houses and gates to their territory open, so they will help you.
