New York City walking trails

We suggest taking a stroll through Manhattan, the heart of New York City.

New York is a huge city, and of course, it's impossible to get around it all on foot. But we suggest taking a stroll through the heart of the Big Apple, Manhattan. There are plenty of places to see!

First of all, head to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (5th Avenue and 82nd Street). Here you'll spend at least an hour and a half admiring history and art from all corners of the globe.

Further south through the grounds of the famous Central Park. Here you can relax on a bench or just lie on the lawn, snack on a hot dog and admire the local beauty.

Then reach the end of the east side of Central Park and head south on Fifth Avenue. Along the way, you'll see an unusual glass cube-shaped building - the Apple Store.

Walk on until you see Rockefeller Center on your right hand. In the winter, it's home to an ice rink and a Christmas tree, and any time of year, the center's observation deck offers fantastic views of the city. Photos taken here will be the best memory of your trip to New York.

After leaving the center, turn west and walk to the intersection with Broadway. One of the oldest streets in New York City, this square attracts 50 million visitors each year and is one of the main symbols not only of the Big Apple, but of the country.

Now turn east and reach the Empire State Building. This famous skyscraper is unmistakable and was once the tallest building in New York City. You can climb to the top and admire the views.

When you get down, go back to Broadway and head south again. This will take you to Union Square. New York University is located nearby, so it's always full of students. From here, head to Wall Street. There are two ways to get there: either walk down Broadway, which takes about an hour, or take the subway (the subway entrances are on three corners of Union Square) and take the 4 line a few stops away.

In the financial heart of the city, be sure to take a photo at the Bull Statue. The powerful animal, seemingly frozen before an attack, symbolizes assertive stockbrokers.

Go down to Battery Park and walk along the beach itself to the pier with the big numbers "1" and "7". From here, take a boat to the Statue of Liberty .The view of the main symbol of the United States in the setting sun is a fitting end to an exciting day.
