Everyone who decides to buy a ski pass knows that it is the best way to save money on ski elevators. Not only time, but also money, as the cost of a ski pass is slightly lower than paying separately for elevator tickets. You can buy a ski pass in Kitzbühel either from your ski tour company or on the spot, at the hotel or at the ski elevators. They are only sold at the lower stations, however.
The price of a ski pass starts at 42 EUR per person per day. It is more economical to book a 6 or 12 day pass, so a week will cost about 200 EUR, 12 days - 325 EUR.
There are discounts for young people and children. If your child is under 15 years old, he/she will pay only 22 EUR for a ski pass, 100 EUR for 6 days, and 165 EUR for 12 days. A ski pass for young people up to 19 years old in Kitzbühel costs 35 EUR. Discounts for children and teenagers up to 15 years old and people over 60 years old on presentation of a photo document proving their age. The season runs from December to early April, and prices can rise around January-February, so you should take this into account.
The slopes of St. Johan, Brixental are close to Kitzbühel. The well-known Alpenskipass is available here. You can also use the pistes of the Salzburg Sports Region - Zell am See/Kaprun, Saalbach/Hinterglemm and others, which are all included in the SkiJoker ski pass.
The maximum Kitzbüheler Alps AllStarCard pass is available. It gives you access to 1081 kilometers of slopes and 357 elevators in the entire ski area from Schneewinkel to Kitzbühel (Kitzbühel, SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental, Skiregion Schneewinkel, Hochtal Wildschönau, Alpbachtal, Skicircus Saalbach - Hinterglemm - Leogang, Zell am See - Kaprun).
In addition, the Kitsteinhorn glacier (3203 m) is also included. Depending on the season and age of the tourist it will cost 20-40 EUR for 1 day, 100-210 EUR for 6 days and 180-360 EUR for two weeks. You will need a photo and a deposit of 2 EUR for KeyCards.
A single ski pass covers the whole ski area and costs from 30.5 EUR for one day to 260 EUR (for 14 days). The Summer Holiday Pass covers all elevators, local buses and access to the swimming pool. The approximate price is 35 EUR for 3 days per week and 50 EUR for 6 days in a period of 10 days. It is valid for all local transportation for all 7 or 10 days respectively.
