If you are a fan of healthy hiking, we recommend you to get acquainted with the hiking routes of Golden Sands. The more so that the walk through these places will be not only pleasant and memorable, but also informative.
First of all, the walking routes pass through the territory of the picturesque and ecologically clean National Park. There are five routes, each with its own merits. The "orange," "blue," and "yellow" routes are focused on exploring the landscapes, getting acquainted with the world of Bulgarian nature, and studying various plants - visitors will encounter oaks, ashes, lindens, and pines. All routes are short, the first one can be completed in less than an hour, while the others will take about one and a half hours. The "green" route is more challenging and longer, requiring approximately two and a half hours, and even more time is needed for the "red" route, which takes over four hours and includes not only natural beauty but also historical landmarks. Rest and picnic areas are provided on long hikes. Experienced guides are always ready to assist visitors, accompanying groups and offering guided tours in Bulgarian and English for an additional fee.
Secondly, the famous Aladzha Monastery is located in the same area, surrounded by a group of caves.
