Beaches in Sozopol

The best beaches of Sozopol are located in two parts of the town. In the Old Town, you will find the Old Beach, while in the New Town lies Harmani Beach. Entrance to the beaches is free, but a small fee of 3 BGN is charged for renting a beach umbrella or sunbed.

When considering which beach to choose in Sozopol, keep the following in mind:

– The Old Beach is preferred by families with children. It is set in a cozy bay with a gentle slope into the sea. Despite the influx of tourists, even in peak season you can always find a free spot there.

– Harmani Beach, located further south, is more extensive, making it ideal for those seeking a more secluded getaway.

Three kilometers from the city, a new beach has recently opened, which has become a favorite of landscape artists. A large number of convenient little coves in the rocks, hanging tree vines create a unique aura that attracts extreme tourists.

Going on vacation to Sozopol in late July-August, remember that the beaches in these months are "blooming", i.e. there is an abundance of algae and tina.

Sozopol beaches are well equipped and have all the necessary infrastructure. A lot of bars, coastal cafes will not leave you hungry, children are waiting for water entertainment, and the safety of vacationers vigilantly monitored by the emergency service.
